We have a big announcement to share. The Money Minx engineering team has been busy building our own alternative to Zabo (to connect your cryptocurrency wallets) and will be launching it in record time.
We expect the Coinbase and Binance connections to be ready within the week and we’ll move to the next providers right after. If you have a request or would like to vote on which connection we should focus on next, share it in the community.
Why build our own connections?
Two reasons:
By relying on a third party aggregator we are limited to what they support. Which means when you send us a message request a new feature or added data, it is beyond our control and there is nothing we can do about it other than message the aggregator and ask them to make the updates. By having our own connections, we can move faster and better support our users.
Coinbase recently acquired Zabo and they decided to shutter the service. Instead of looking for an alternative. We are building our own alternative to Zabo and giving it the name Qroka.
What is the impact to you?
Unfortunately as of Friday August 27 your crypto connections will stop syncing until Qroka is ready to go. We are working as hard as we can to go live with Binance and Coinbase and will move to the next connection right after. Our goal is to release 2-4 connections per month going forward until we cover all of the connections you are already using.
Is there another way?
Yes! You are able today to track your crypto by entering specific coins. We realize this is not super ideal but it will automatically sync the value of your holdings automatically.
We are also exploring the ability to get the value of your wallets by entering the wallet’s address as well.
